My great grandmother is 100 years old this year! I have always wanted to take care of her since I was young because I think it's so important to give back. She taught me math, and even though I lived a whole country away, she has always meant the world to me. She was living in Berlin, Germany most of my upbringing and now at a home in Arizona. Despite me wanting to take care of her, I am unable to for preset reasons.

I am a professional nanny for children but I want to work with the elderly.

I started caring about the elderly when I would go to different homes as child in girl scouts as well as with choir trips in high school and saw how much the youth trips meant to most of everyone in the homes. I had hundreds of handshakes from people I knew I wanted to help when I got older.

I taught myself the piano and then had the opportunity to play at different care homes during meal times. I would spend an extra hour unpaid just because there were a few people still wanting to listen to me play.

A wonderful girl friend of mine, had a grandmother in a home, and I thought it was so touching how she was the only one in her family taking care of her. She didn't have a car at the time, so I would drive her and accompany her to her grandmothers home where I watched and helped take care of her grandmother.

I am looking to be a live in care giver near the Brentwood, Santa Monica, or Hollywood area.

I would love to help clean, organize, prepare meals, ensure proper medicational care as well as the assistance needed for daily living.

Being a live in care giver, I would have the opportunity to ensure the safety and well being of whom I would be taking care of.
