I have over five years of experience in caregiving. Caring for my uncle and father who had mobility issues inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for my uncle for more than 3 years, and my father for 2 years and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of individuals in need of care. Supporting my family taught me skills like patience, compassion, and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure the patriarchs of our family were healthy and safe.

For the time I cared for my uncle, I was a full-time live-in caretaker. My responsibilities were not limited to but included housekeeping, transportation, grooming, managing medications, and mobility assistance. I later provided care for my father which was different because he has very limited mobility. I checked on him twice a day. During each visit, I helped prepare meals and complete housekeeping tasks, allowing his primary caretaker time off. While the work was challenging, improving these men with a better quality of life made it worthwhile. I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact at this organization.
