I’ve had a pleasure being a home care provider for an elderly person who’s been on peritoneal dialysis for the past 6 years of life as well as 11 years of being blind. I enjoy assisting elderly people in everyday chores as well as being their companion in conversation. My duties included picking up medicine from the pharmacy, assisting in light house cleaning, meal prep, laundry, translating, taking them to doctors appointments, etc. I enjoy doing this because there is lots of wisdom to be learned from elderly people. I also love cats so being around them is a joy.
