Hello, my name is Gabriela. I have a deep passion for life, health, medicine, food, and adventure. I am an international medical school graduate, aspiring to translate my education and experiences into a residency program in the United States. My particular focus is on health issues that predominantly affect women, especially young women who are disadvantaged due to socioeconomic status, education level, or ethnicity.

Born and raised in the Dominican Republic, I consider New York my home, having lived there for most of my life. After medical school, I moved to Boston to work as a clinical research associate at Boston Medical Center while preparing for my medical board exams to apply for residency.

In my free time, I volunteer in the geriatrics inpatient department at Boston Medical Center. I find it incredibly rewarding to provide companionship and support to elderly patients. I also enjoy gardening, hiking and spending time with my cats at home.
