Responsibilities
Every other weekend I care for 2 young adults with Autism at their home and occasionally take them out socially. I am also involved in accompanying one of them to Special Olympics track, basketball, and speed-skating practice and events.

Responsibilities
Since 1998, I have worked with children and young adults with Autism and other developmental disabilities assisting them in life skill programs, ABA programs, work-study programs, and educational programs.

Accomplishments
Using a Mayer-Johnson pictures, I have developed and utilized a student schedule binder, communication board, token board, and behavioral plans. Being fluent in sign-language has also been useful with non-verbal students.

In the past, I have attended several conferences educating myself in all aspects of Autism and continue to work outside of the school environment socially and with Special Olympics.

Skills Used
Taking the initiative and being self-motivated was definitely needed as my superior is sometimes busy with difficult student behaviors.
