For nearly a decade I provided around the clock care for my chronically ill, disabled mother in our home. I understand the challenges of being a caregiver to a loved one.

I am currently employed as a substitute teacher. I hold a California 30-day Teaching Permit which qualifies me to teach transitional kindergarten through twelfth grade in private, charter, and public-school classrooms. Holding this permit also means I passed the FBI background check for care providers. I am also American Red Cross CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid certified.

In 2018, I returned to community college to work towards my dream of becoming a mental health professional specializing in working with children and families. In 2019, I graduated from West Valley College with two Associates degrees: Psychology and Math & Science. In the Spring of 2021, I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz having earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I am currently working on my master’s in counseling psychology at Santa Clara University.
