Rachel’s Bio
Hello! My name is Rachel and I have been working around the elderly professionally for 3 years! I am so excited to get a chance to be around your loved one, hear their stories and help around the house.
My experience is within a nursing home as well as in-home hospice care. I have been a Certified Nursing Assistant in the past, which provided me with the credentials to perform basic elderly care. Within the nursing home, I provided loving care to patients, recorded diagnostics, gave showers and bed-baths, helped with eating, changed bed linens and adult briefs, and aimed to make each patient feel as dignified and comfortable as possible. I worked with dementia, Alzheimers, disabilities and other kinds of illness. Within the in-home hospice care, I took care of an elderly couple. I stayed for overnight shifts, cooked and cleaned, changed catheter bags, gave breathing treatments, changed hearing aids, etc. My main role here was to give them clinical care as well as take care of them physically in the comfort of their own home.
I would love to be able to sit with your loved one with whatever care they need! I am an artist as well as an avid animal lover, so any kind of animals are welcome. I enjoy puzzles, board games, cooking (I desperately try baking haha), going on walks, gardening and other outdoor activities.
Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions you might have. Thank you!
