Jasmine’s Bio
I work at a group home for pregnant teen mother who are on probation and/or have had CPS history. These are girl’s that have been through severe neglect, abuse and substance use issues. I have been named the girl’s child’s favorite due to the way I interact with them, as well as some family member with their children. My career goal is to become a certified play therapist and I plan to apply for an online Master’s Program later this year while working on the side. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work with some basic understanding of child development. I am also CPR and First Aid certified and have been in numerous crisis situations with teens who have intended to harm themselves, and contain some experience working along side an injury prevention specialist doing outreach. I value the safety and well-being of others and would consider myself an empath, due to my past experiences, a creative, and a person who really enjoys challenges. I highly value self care to better show up in areas in my life and understand that parent’s need it, that parents create the core foundation for their children and knowing that I would be of service and help would a rewarding job to take.
