I have spent my life caring for people. I was trained 14 years ago to care for my quadriplegic EX husband and his 95 year old father who had some mobility issues. During that time I also moved his mother in with me and she was struggling with dementia but was very unhappy in the care facility her other son put her in. I loved taking care of my in-laws and the time they spent with me enriched my children’s lives immensely. My girls got to know their grandparents and simultaneously learned about compassion, health, tolerance and some of the reason their grandparents thrived as immigrants. Resilience and humor were two of the biggest things that I can directly connect back to the times that they lived with us.

I was able to help my ex husband gain independence and move into his own condominium within three years of his accident. I did pool therapy with him and also taught him to drive again with a modified van. We travel on weekends to soccer games and when it’s more than a thirty minute commute, I drive his van for him. When we travel out of state, I shower him and assist with any/all care needs.

My experience is hands on care and I come from a dental background so I am very proud of my meticulous care with hygiene and my knowledge of avoiding cross contamination.

I am friendly and helpful with a huge tolerance for others and their feelings. I am respectful and can focus on tasks while making the best of sometimes very stressful situations. My mother in law taught me that no matter what happens soap and water can fix just about anything:)

I would love to help someone but do have time constraints as I am building a business while also the primary caregiver for my younger daughters (ages 5, twins 17) my twins drive but want me to continue the soccer mom, tennis mom carpool thing. It’s their senior year and they are academically and athletically talented. My youngest just entered kindergarten and wants Mama to drop off (8:15 am) and pickup (3:00 pm)

Also I am available at 10:00 pm-2:00 am or 2:00 am-5am.
