I started being a Caregiver for my Grandmother in 2014 for about 4 years until she passed and that's when I decided I wanted to continue helping other elderly people who could no longer help themselves! She was very special to me and I feel like I can keep her memory alive through others! I try my best to give each client the best care possible because I tended to her the same way! I want to help others like I helped her! I sit with some for companionship who just wanted somebody to keep them company so they won't be at home everyday by themselves, I help some with running errands and light housekeeping, I tend to bedbound patients who can't do anything but lay in the bed by bathing them, grooming and dressing, changing undergarments and feeding them and giving medication or reminding them, I tend to some who have limited mobility and need assistance going to the bathroom or walking anywhere else in the house. I deal with different clients so I've had different experiences. I finally started working through companies around 2019 and then I started doing Private Sitting as well which I have been doing the last 4 1/2 years. I also work with clients that have dementia/alhzheimer.Thos job is not for everybody and you have to be willing and dedicated and have patience with all clients because they're all special people and they deserve to have someone to tend to them when they can't help themselves! I feel like God has placed this calling on me because I love helping people wherever I can and this has been one of my main areas of helping people with their loved ones when they are not able to handle it alone and I love what I do because I treat them all like they're my own family!
