Transportation Help and Companionship for 78YO Mother

Posted by Brendan H. on 10/30/2024

  • $20.00 per one way

My 78-year-old mother has both a vision and hearing disability. She has a cochlear implant in one ear but has significantly reduced vision. Looking for someone who can drive her to medical appts, hairdresser, and otherwise provide companionship (walks around her neighborhood, lunches, etc). She is very sweet but moved up from Florida and has limited contacts here in Seattle. In light of her disability, she is reluctant to try new things without someone by her side. Help will include holding onto her arm while walking and potentially translating to her when someone speaks too fast. Looking for help 1x or 2x per week for a few hours each time. Pay is negotiable.
