*Short term care needed for January while regular caregiver is unavailable due to overseas travel*
My mom has been bedridden since July after a procedure and pneumonia caused a significant decline in her health. She is on hospice care and has daily visits from nurses aids for an hour and a hospice nurse that come 2-3 times a week. We are looking for someone who can dress and bath her, change her colostomy bag and feed her with a gravity feeding tube (very simple and we can show you how it works). She currently has a catheter that the nurses monitor so diaper changes are limited. Willingness to do some light mobility exercises would be very helpful as well. She is nonverbal, very calm and doesn't move very much. However we are looking for someone who's willing to try to engage and talk to her. Her dementia does not make her agitated or combative. Preference is for an LPN or other nursing experience or someone with experience in a nursing home.
