Hello! Daughter of a Monroe, NY Elder is looking for a care companion for my dad Edward! He is 69 years old and just had shoulder surgery. He needs someone to support him in light housekeeping (Small 1 bd/1 bath needs vacuuming, dusting/wiping of surfaces, bathroom needs occasionally cleaning), meal prep and cooking, throwing away garbage after each visit, and ensuring dishes are left clean. 1-2x a month he will need support in grocery shopping and putting away groceries. Duties also include accompanying him on walks around the block or in the building during each visit if possible. He is capable in monitoring all this medication may need support in picking up prescriptions. We are looking for care for the year and will revisit in December.

Looking for someone who is understanding of what this age group and care needs require. The ideal caregiver will be patient, a great listener, and will love to converse. Really looking for someone with past experience in caring for Elders in their 60-70s.

Benefit for you: Meals and snacks will be provided, my father has so much food so he will gladly share in what is available within his kitchen, also please let us know some of your favorites! Parking will be available on the street and/or a consistent spot in the parking lot next door.

Hourly pay rate will be $23 an hour (Pay is negotiable as we are willing to pay additional hourly depending on experience). This pay rate is being provided under a personal assistance program given to my father under his insurance. They will pay you directly, but we will always ensure you get paid on time every time! This program will also work with you in obtaining your LNA to become a Certified Nursing Assistant for FREE!!!!! We will be sure to work with the requirements in supporting you to obtain your certification :)
