Outgoing, Funny, and Helpful Companion

  • $20.00 per hour

My mom was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's. She is still in the early stages and pretty independent. She doesn't drive anymore and needs some assistance with her activities of daily living. We are looking for someone to provide support 2-3 weekdays for about 8 hours while other family members are out at work. She will need assistance with transportation. She wakes up, has her breakfast and morning coffee, she will need assistance with taking her morning medications. Then she walks on the treadmill for an hour. She will need assistance getting set up for this (i.e., starting the timer, getting headphones in, playing music, etc.). After she walks, she will take a shower. Sometimes she needs assistance getting ready for the day (i.e., getting an outfit together, doing hair, brushing teeth, etc.). She will need assistance preparing her lunch. After lunch, she should do some brain activity such as puzzles, word search, calling a friend or family member, scrapbooking.
