Presented by Family Concierge: Lovely Durham 87yr old senior is in need of a warm and patient part-time caregiver. Family would love for a caregiver to assist while they are busy at work. She is still active and able to get around by herself, but she is starting to experience some memory issues. Daily help is not needed, companion care would be the main duty. Ideally care would start in October about 1 day a week, 4hrs guaranteed with flexible times, but would not start before late morning. Would also be open to increasing the hours for the right fit!

Responsibilities include laundry, meal preparation, basic/light housekeeping, appointment transportation. As well as just being a great walking buddy; walking up and down the driveway/sidewalk, short walks for some fresh air when weather permits! She does use a cane but is able to perform most daily activities herself. Most importantly, the family would love to find a caregiver who can engage and socialize with her. She's very social, but due to the aftermath of the pandemic, the social part of her life has been greatly lacking. She loves knitting and has attended knitting groups at the local library so it would be great if the caregiver could find more activities like this. Anything to keep her social!
