Description: A wonderful family in Otsego is looking for a compassionate individual to help care for their mother. She had an onset of Alzheimer's disease this past fall and it unfortunately is progressing quickly. She is very sweet-natured and has a big heart!
The family is looking for a caregiver who can make her laugh and doesn't treat her as if she has Alzheimer's. They would love a caregiver who will do activities with her and not for her. She loves to clean! Physical activity during the day is important to prevent or slow down the progression. She has 2 Berne doodles that she enjoys the company of.
Most of all they are looking for a caregiver who understands the disease and has compassion for the different stages she will go through as this progresses.
This would be a great opportunity for someone who has experience working with the elderly, working in a clinical setting, or pursuing a nursing degree.
