My mother is an 81 year old living in an apartment in Ankeny, Iowa. I usually work in her apartment Monday - Friday 8-4:30 pm however at some point I might want to work at my own house or go into the office. I would like to find some options of backup care. Most importantly mom needs a reminder to take her pills in am and pm and to have food prepared or really just make sure she is eating properly 3 times a day. She likes to mainly watch tv or read but I would like someone to interact with her more, either working on a puzzle together or coming up with ideas to get her active and involved during the day. She is mobile but uses a walker that can be collapsed and taken with.
