Taking Joe for a Walk
Posted by Kay O. on 2/15/2025

- $18.00 per hour

My brother is a resident at Fountainview Center for Alzheimer's. He has Parkinson's with mild Lewy Body Dementia and is still quite lucid. Joe enjoys taking walks around the property, but his rehab benefits have expired. Sometimes restorative care does not have the staff to walk him
Joe walks with a rollator and is allowed to ambulate around the property with supervision. He prefers to wear shorts and does not go outside if the weather is inclement or below 60 degrees.
Now that I have returned to work, it would be lovely for him to still have outdoor walks when I am not available. On my workdays, I am usually gone from 6 AM until 20:30.
He has 24/7 nursing staff, so this would be a companion visit. Since Joe is 6' tall and very shy, a male companion would be preferable.
This would be a one-hour task.
Thank you!
