Peg is 89 and Lon is 90. They live independently in a retirement home, but we need help with in-home support given their memory (dementia) and mobility challenges (both use walkers). They are both kind and wonderful people with a big family and tons of grandkids - Lon loves puzzles, watching old movies, and snacks, and Peg enjoys reading on her Kindle and snuggling with their sweet, small older dog (Maggie). We are looking for two mornings a week (9 am to 12 pm on Tuesday/Thursday with additional hours in the future. Job duties will include:
- Shower assistance for Lon in a fully ADA set up shower with a chair and grab bars twice a week
- Daily walks with both of them around the retirement center
- Heating up meals
- Occasional errands (groceries)
- Ensuring their medication is taken
- Light housekeeping
