Driving to go shopping in another city in LA

I envision that driving would be 20+ miles to go grocery shopping to pick up key items. It would be with two elderly people 85+ one who is cared for by the other. The vehicle would ideally be easy to get into and out of for a mobility impaired person who uses a walker. My estimation is this would be about 4 hours roundtrip with the shopping.
