Grimes Canyon/Balcom Canyon famiy seeks an occasional in-home caregiver for their 81 yo mother to start ASAP. Backup care is needed 1-4x/month, M-F 10am-6pm, & weekends from 7pm-6am (overnight). Home is located behind a private gated ranch off 118 hwy. Client is in mid-stages of Alzheimer’s & has sundown syndrome. She may be gregarious/occasionally stubborn. Wears adult Depends, & has a slight limp causing occasional trips, though she is ambulatory. Her husband will be in the home during care & there may be other caregivers or housekeepers present at times. Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s backup care needs, but should understand that there are no guaranteed weekly hours for this position.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Administering medications
Driving client to appointments (occasional); furthest commute is 8 miles (can utilize family's vehicle)
Hygiene assistance
Light food preparation for client
Must be a Certified Medication Aide
Position pays $25-$30 per hr
