Seeking someone to stay with my 70-year-old mother-in-law overnight on Saturday and Sunday nights. She has Alzheimer’s. The sitter needs to be able to stay awake to keep an eye on her as she can wander around during the night rather than sleep on a normal schedule. Caregiver will provide meals as needed (finger foods only), do light housekeeping, as well as help with changing and hygiene needs. We need someone who can keep in constant contact with us so we know how she’s doing at all times. My mother-in-law does best with a laid back personality that gives her space and doesn’t treat her like she’s not capable of doing anything or understanding what you say. She also does well without strict routine or being forced to do things. She loves music and singing and dancing. She may need help with mobility from time to time, but for the most part she can get around without much help. She does wear pullups. Shift is 30 hours in 2 days.
