Family of 5, kids aged 13-17 living in Katy for 7 years. This is for afterschool homework help for 12 and 15 year old . I would think Student Teacher (or similar degree, nursing, etc), or recent grade with similar background would be a great fit as would retired teacher, or empty nester with required skill set would work great as well. Local and flexible always a plus.
Looking for someone to help go through back pack get kids pointed in right direction doing homework, Review planner and make sure all subjects are being done and everything handed in on time.Kids already have math tutor but will be great if you can help with some questions and help them look up how to do problems in class notes etc. Familiarity with Katy ISD / Canvas a bonus. Willing to pay bonus for grade improvements.
Flexible with schedule 4-5 days a week 1-3 hours a day. We are all busy miss a day here or there is fine we will probably miss a day or to as well. Can pay hourly or flat weekly fee once comfortable with schedule. On light days and as you get more comfortable you would probably be able to get some of your own work done and just answer questions as needed. Just be at table with them keeping them on task.
