We have a 7 year old son who is mostly independent but may require some guidance and a large friendly dog. The dog does have separation anxiety and will want to be in your presence the whole time, but is very affectionate.
Make sure our son completes his nightly routine and gets to bed at a reasonable time (between 7:00 and 8:00) and watch the house until we get home
My wife is a performer and has a show that evening and I will be in attendance. We should leave a little before 6:00 and be home around or before midnight.
