I am excited to become a respite foster parent. I will host 1-2 children for short stays. Occasionally, I may need to hire an additional adult to help me but I will always remain in the home with the kids. I also have two, well-behaved small dogs.
I would be hiring someone to share the work to help prepare easy meals, set up games, play with the children, or go on short walks, and pick up along the way. My house is a very peaceful, calm, kid-friendly environment. I have a separate play/art room and lots of things for the kids to play with including movies and video games. The sitter would be there in case I need any extra help.
This will be occasional work, one day or up to a few days. The jobs will come with short notice - I may be asking for next day availability. I will be compiling a list of sitters to try to see if they are available.
