R is 5 and both her parents work. (I am R''s uncle.) I see them struggle to figure out how to rearrange their lives when R's school gets cancelled or she has to otherwise stay home. Mom also has to travel for work sometimes, too, and then they have no easy way to get R to school. They are also too busy to do the preliminary search for a sitter so I'm trying to help.
Be available to spend time with the child, sometimes taking her to or picking her up from school (walking distance from the house).
