Hello! I have a boy (7) and a girl (6), both active. They go to school in walking distance of playground, home, and library. After school plans include: playground, homework help, library if weather is bad, and heating up simple snack/food. I try to minimize the food as much as possible by preparing ahead of time. I'm a nurse with a wonky schedule. We can start with a M,T,W schedule to get you hours but flexibility would be extra cool.
Pick up from school on time, keep them safe when crossing streets, monitor them in playground (my son is pretty independent, my daughter might hang around if she's in love with you). Walk home, help them settle, start homework. Maybe heat up some nuggets. My kids are active, silly, smart, often each other's besties. But they also have "sibling moments" you need to know how to manage.
We are in No. Riverdale in the BX. That means W254, Mosholu Ave area. BX 7, 10, and 9 are near us. Biggest worry: the sitter needs to be able to commit to our location. Let's start with M,T,W babysitting and maybe flexibility with Th, F if you're interested. You'd deal with me mostly through text. My husband will be the one to relieve you in the evening. We just want someone who likes kids and will care for them like a cousin or sibling.
