We went to school, traveled, partied, and then eventually settled down in Elon and had babies! One of us works in medical education and the other stays home with our two boys. Mom hails from the coast and dad from the triangle. We are college-educated, homeschool, have two elderly Maine Coone cats, and are non-smokers. We are pretty chill people but very serious about our kids’ safety and well-being. We have a starter home and try to keep things neat but are not overly fussy or pretentious.
We need someone to come once every 2 weeks (sometimes more) to essentially form a bond with our boys (1 & 6); to be the person they (and we) trust to be the primary go-to for childcare. We will almost always be here but need someone who will help out the way a grandma might. Feed them, play with them, help with school work, and clean up around the house some. We need someone we can count on to keep them safe and happy in our home so we can take a deep breath as we prepare for our final arrival!
Most of the time one of us will be here but we need someone who is CPR certified
and okay watching them without us here on occasion too. This person would need to be okay with a camera system being in the house, pass a drug screen, and background check, and also need to be willing to be on call one time (timeframe given in interview) to come stay with the boys (including overnight) for a few days while I am in the hospital. Another family member would come to help during that time as well.
