Hello! I’m a father with a sweet Kindergarten-aged daughter. I’m looking for someone who can provide a consistent and engaging presence in the afternoons. My daughter is thoughtful, curious, and loves playing with other kids her own age, so bringing your own kids along will not be an issue.
The main responsibilities include picking up my daughter from school at 4 PM, going 3 blocks away to our home, and staying with her until I get home from work around 6 PM. Tuesdays she has early release, so she would get off at 3 PM. Her mom, who lives in Texas, sometimes will facetime her. I'll leave a phone at the home for that, and if her mom calls they can usually stay engaged for about an hour; during these calls, you're free to do your own thing as long as she’s safe.
We live 3 blocks away from the school, so it's not a mission. The schedule is consistent, with care needed every weekday except maybe Fridays. Even on days when I work from home, I’ll need the same care to maintain consistency for my daughter, but my home-office is upstairs so I wouldn't be interrupting. I'm flexible and willing to discuss adjustments if needed.

- Muslim, daughter is Lebanese, Sudanese, African American, and Puerto Rican
- I work in IT, so a lot of days I'm working from home but occasionally there will be weeks I'm in the office daily
- We don't have any pets, but have plans on getting a kitten in the near-future iA
- She is a social person, so ideally you would have a kid near her age to engage with her, but if you yourself are engaging it should be enough. She's not big on solo-play. She likes playing with dolls and playing roblox as well.
