We have an 11-year-old beginning 6th grade in Olney. He is an energetic, fun-loving child with focus/attention challenges. He likes to swim, hike, play outdoors, bounce on his trampoline, read, work with Legos, and watch youtube videos. At home we also have a friendly golden retriever dog (I recognize that "friendly" may be redundant), so being comfortable around dogs is also essential.
We are looking for someone to provide sitting and homework support on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 3:15 pm (meeting him at the bus-stop) until early evening--typically 6:30pm, although occasional longer hours are available and appreciated. Engaging in a variety of activities with him (see his likes, above) will comprise the majority of the time. Preparing after-school snacks is also anticipated.

Prior special-needs experience, particularly working with ADHD children, is a plus.
It is a short walk (~5 minutes) from the bus stop to home, but providing occasional transportation (to/from after-school activities, parks) will be required. Located in the Williamsburg Village neighborhood of Olney.
