The Forster Family is seeking an inclusive, sensitive and energetic childcare worker to support our two elementary aged children throughout the week. We value connection with and reliability for the children above everything. Our family requires approximately 30 hours per week; however, we are willing to consider supporting a full-time role. We live in Belmont and both of our children attend school in Cambridge. We are a creative family that loves to balance education, work and play.
• Collecting children from school
• Help encouraging kids to assist with household chores, helping them with reading and writing activities, and supervising them during play
• Transporting and collecting children to and from play dates and other activities
• Performing household chores such as sweeping, doing dishes and children's laundry
• Additional duties include light tidying up of the day’s activities, emptying dishwasher, dinner and meal preparation, and other family supported errands.
Requirements:
• Availability 12-7 pm Monday-Thursday at a minimum
• 3+ years childcare related experience
• First aid certified
• Valid driver’s license, with clean driving record
• Comfortable shopping, preparing, and cooking meals along with meal clean up
• Outstanding verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 2 professional references
