I have a 14 year old boy an 10 year old girl. My son is in band and my daughter is in choir. They attend afterschool activities and are really self sufficient.
Pick up from after school programs when I’m not available. Occasional stay over when I have to attend work conferences out of town maybe once a year for a day or two if it’s during the week. Eg) if I have to fly out on a Wednesday night to attend a conference the next day, I will fly back Friday morning. The sitter will stay over, the kids will attend school as usual and sitter can continue their personal activities.
