We have 3 kids, ages are 12 (boy), 10 (girl), and 6 (girl). All 3 are pretty independent & generally very well behaved children. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats, as well. We've lived in Wheaton for about 12 years.
My wife and I both working and struggling to keep up with basic housework - we are really looking for some extra help with keeping up with laundry, preparing dinners, working with the kids to do basic tidying up, helping them with homework, every once in a while driving a kid to an event. Our kids are pretty independent. We would like the babysitter to be able to involve the kids in some of this chore work, in an effort to help continue teaching basic life skills.
We live in Wheaton, near the DuPage County Fairgrounds. I work out of our house 3-4 days per week, and only go into the office 1-2 days per week, so I'll likely be home for a lot of the days that you are here, but working in my office. My wife is a tax preparer, so she is about to hit her busy season. We also may need more help than just the 3 evenings I'm identifying now - this is really just a baseline starting point.
