We are a family of 4-- two busy parents and two incredible kids. Mom Emily is a lawyer and works hybrid between home and her office in D.C. She is often in charge of pick ups and drop offs and shuttling to appointments and activities. Dad Dave is a music producer and recording engineer and runs a professional recording studio that is also in their home. Eli is a rising 1st Grader, bright and energetic. Flora is a rising preschooler. Adorable and maybe an empath.
We are in need of a sitter who can provide back up care, and if possible more help around the house as our kids get to know them. Often, the TV serves as our babysitter when kids are home and mom and dad need to get work done. So, someone who can engage the kids would be great. Looking also for date night support and someone who can handle mealtimes, bath times, bed times and light housework.
We are located inside the Beltway on a bus route, but not walking distance to metro. Having a car to get to our house will be key. Now that it is summer, our schedule is more hectic between camps and business travel. We would like to integrate a sitter now to help us ease into a fall routine. Dad Dave is having surgery in the fall so extra care around that time will be essential for us.
