We are an LGBT-family, two dads and our five-year old daughter. We both work and she spends the summer are summer club and the nights playing in our backyard, on her scooter with the neighborhood kids, on treasure hunt walks, or just relaxing.
Typically we would need simple "sittering". Hang with the kid while we go get dinner together. That means you would warm up a prepped dinner, relax with her, and then, likely put her to bed at her bedtime.
