We're an easy going family, one kid (boy, 8), one cat, one dog (labradoodle). Our son loves books, videogames, boardgames, monster trucks, etc. Our dog is an overly affectionate sweetheart, so prefer a sitter that actually likes dogs. Expectations are pretty basic, do your best to keep creatures alive and not let the house catch fire and we're all good.
Be present, be able to heat some food in a microwave or oven if needed, open a can of pet food and feed a pet if needed. Play with an 8 year old boy. Bonus points if you're comfortable watching while our son plays with neighbors, play fetch or walk the dog, but not a requirement if there are reasons you're not comfortable with that.
We're in the Niles area of Fremont, and looking for an occasional weekend date night babysitter. We're very comfortable asking in advance and respecting when you have other commitments with no expectations.
