Family in Corte Madera is seeking an occasional babysitter for their 5 year old to start ASAP. Backup care is needed 1-4 times per month on weekdays for 4-8 hours at a time between 8am-8pm. Family can typically provide a 1-2 week’s notice prior to when backup care is needed, however, may be occurrences when the notice is for the next day. The child enjoys building Legos, playing with trains, riding their bike, and going to the local park. The child typically takes time to warm up to new people.
Those applying do not need to be available for all of the family’s requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed weekly hours for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Afterschool pickups (walkable)
* Bedtime routines
* Driving child (rare occurrence - can utilize family’s vehicle)
* Engaging with child in developmentally appropriate activities
* Park visits (walkable)
* Tidying related to the child; putting dishes in dishwasher, picking up after child, etc.
Requirements:

* Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional experience with children (age 5 preferred)
* Authorized to work in the U.S., UTD on CPR certification/willing to renew
* High School diploma or equivalent
* Valid driver’s license + clean driving record

Position pays $40 per hour for as needed care - No guaranteed weekly hours.
