South Carlsbad family just north of Encinitas is seeking a long-term occasional babysitter for their active, independent & creative 10-year old to start ASAP. Backup childcare is needed intermittently & can fall on any day between Monday-Friday from 11am-5pm. Those applying do not need to be available for all requests, but should understand that there are no guaranteed hours for this position. The family is typically able to provide at least a week’s notice for any care needs.
Responsibilities include: Engaging with the child through various activities, going for walks + playing in the local parks, planning activities for the child to engage in & preparing/providing lunch and snacks for the child. Occasional assistance with picking up the child from school or summer camp would also be helpful. The family is looking for a sitter that will be responsible, creative, energetic, caring and good at setting boundaries.
Family is looking for someone long-term for a minimum of 1 year. This is not a full time position, only for intermittent care needs (on-call). Rate is $20-$25 per hour.
