My wife and I just moved to Scottsdale with our two kids, Dylan and Henry. Dylan is 10 and she'd in 4th grade. Henry is 4 and is in pre-k. Dylan is fairly self-sufficient. Henry can be a bit needier and has a lot of energy.
Just hang out with the kids while we head out to dinner for my wife's birthday. The kids will need to eat. Dylan is probably capable of making her own food, but if she needs help, she's fine with basic stuff (eggs, easy mac, etc.). Henry may or may not be hungry. He drinks a lot of milk. If he eats he's good with microwaved dino-nuggets. Dylan can help with him, too. We may or may not be home for bedtime, but Henry usually takes a bath ~6:30pm.
There's a gate code that we'll supply if/when we can confirm a sitter. Other than that, everything is pretty straightforward.
