My family got me started working with younger children for many years. From there, I learned how much I enjoy children pointing out the simple pleasures. Watching their minds expand while you teach them, is so rewarding. Overall, I believe children keep my spirits high and enjoyable. On the rough days, I know I must stay cool, calm and collect to regain peace amongst the kiddos. I have watched children of all ages, over the years. Primarily under the ages of 6. I grew up watching my 4 cousins a couple times per week. My one cousin and my nephew both have severe cases of autism. For a year and a half I was a full time live in Nanny for a mother of 3 children. In the end they were 1,3, and 4 years old. These children and I worked on all the basics, colors, letters, numbers. Along with Read more potty training and learningto relax and go to bed at night time. Recently, I worked at a daycare center. There I started as a floating teachers assistant. Then, was moved to a perment position in the 3yr old room. This position gave me a real chance of growth as a childcare provider. Many of these children had special needs of their own and 90% of the time it was just the children and myself.
