I am the oldest of three sisters, and as a kid I always loved when my parents would let me help take care of my little sisters! As a teen, my first job was working with younger children in my capacity as a learn-to-swim instructor, and later, as an undergraduate student, I pursued a job as a camp counselor. It was during my time spent as a camp counselor that I realized just how lovely it is to work with children—they kept me on my toes, made me laugh, gave me some perspective as to what it's like to be growing up in the modern world, and reminded me of why it is important to show others that you care about them. Working with kids gives me hope for the future, and I like to think that I am able to assist them in some small way as they make Read more their marks.
