As a Law student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, I have limited free time, but I am open to families seeking occasional, date-night childcare consistent with my availability. I take great pride in providing families with a trusted resource to care for their children. I am 32 years old and have spent the last twenty years babysitting for other families. My experience begins with my own family. I started sitting for my cousins' children and slowly expanded to other families in my neighborhood by recommendation. Just before college, I found this wonderful platform, Sittercity, and had the good fortune of meeting many more families than word-of-mouth could provide. I have broad experience with different age groups and special circumstances. For the most part, I have cared for children under the age of three, but I have experience ranging all the way up to pre-teens. I have babysat for a newborn Read more baby, cared for six children at once, and supervised large groups of children at parties. In addition, I have experience with special needs children. For many months, I assisted my cousin with her special needs twins. My cousin had her twins more than three months premature and required a great deal of help in their early years to encourage positive development. To do so, I acted as a calm, nurturing, and consistent presence. I also utilized techniques from the children's professional therapists for speech and physical development. In other families, I have dealt with behavioral issues, a child on the autism spectrum, and children with severe allergy restrictions. I can adapt to any circumstances and I can be trusted to remain calm and professional in stressful situations. Before Law school I attended Indiana University to study theatre. I then spent many years bartending in the competitive restaurant industry of Chicago—my hometown. I bring positivity energy, genuine enthusiasm, imagination, confidence, and composure to all that I do.
