My name is Holly Jones. I am a 1:1 Paraprofessional to a visually impaired female fifth grade student at Stanley Elementary School. Here is a bit about my experience as it relates to this job and why I am interested in nannying for you. My experience working with children goes back to 2004. A little about myself, I worked at a daycare as a floater for two years during my junior and senior year of high school. Every summer during my high school career I volunteered at a soroptimist day camp and was paired with a child for 1 week. I worked as a teacher’s aide in a kindergarten classroom for two years during my junior and senior year of high school. I assisted the teacher with small group instruction, big group activities, filing paperwork, etc. Following high school, I worked in the childcare center at Peninsula College in Port Read more Angeles for two years. I completed my practicum for my Associates in Early Childhood Education in the Center. I created lesson plans, led group activities, participated in parent teacher conferences, interacted with the families at the center, etc. I am a mother of three children myself ages 6, 8, and 10. I’m also a licensed CNA and have experience working in memory care units and dealing with behaviors and combative residents. I also worked as a Two’s Teacher at a childcare center from 2019-2021. My job duties consisted of diaper, toileting, small and large group activities, lesson planning, documenting, and so forth. Currently I am on summer break and am a 1:1 to a visually impaired Female 5th grade student at Stanley Elementary School.
