Hi there! My name is Ava, I am 24 years old, and I have been providing child care for all ages since I was a teenager. I am interested in gaining more experience as I plan on working with special needs children in the future. I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and minored in Child Development and Spanish, and am currently earning my Master’s degree in School Psychology. I have also volunteered in daycares throughout my undergraduate studies. Through my studies and experiences I believe in multi-sensory, play-based interactions when working with kids. Play is how they learn, cope, and importantly find joy. I think adults can learn a little something from that too! I like to play guitar, piano, sing, cook, and am a huge arts ‘n’ crafts enthusiast. I am more than happy to introduce your children to music if that interests them, and help with fun Read more projects. Along with child care I have also worked in a Resort as a housekeeper. So if you need help cleaning and/or have kiddos with lots of personality, I am not phased by mess. I am accepting a minimum of $18 an hour, but this is subject to change depending on employment requirements. If there is an equal distribution of cleaning and child care, because it is two jobs at once, wages will be higher, but I am willing to negotiate to best meet yours and your family’s needs.
