I have always loved children. I love their innocence and sweetness. They are so entertaining and fun to be around. I love their curiosity and the funny things that come up with. I have babysat for years starting in junior high onwards. In Chicago, I babysat for a 7 month old on the verge of crawling. She would roll around and play with her toys, and bounce in her play chair. She and I would walk to the park and play in the grass. I am not afraid of diapers. I love kids of all ages. In college I babysat for 3 kids ages 3-8. It was two boys and a girl. We played hide and seek, went for bike rides, went to the general store, went swimming, played at the park and played board games. It was a lot of fun to be outnumbered and they kept me busy. In Read more the past few months in California I have babysat with a family with 4 boys (ages 4, 6, 8, and 14), a family with 3 year twins and a 6 year old, and a 9 month old baby. I also have 10 year old half sister who I spent a lot of my time with. We go to all sorts of fun places together like the zoo, rock climbing at the gym, swimming, ride bikes on trails for up to 10 miles, we play tennis, we love to travel, and lots of other fun activities. I take it very seriously that she looks up to me and I feel lucky to show her the world and see it through her eyes. I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2009. I majored in marketing and have a minor in international business. I am fluent in Vietnamese and understand some Spanish. I currently do freelance work for film. I have been a production assistant and a media logger. I lived in Washington DC for 6 months last fall and am now based in Santa Monica, California and am in between jobs. Since junior high I've volunteered. I helped with kindergarden students on Saturdays, I helped tutor 8th graders, I was a part of Alpha Phi Omega in college which is a national service fraternity, I was a part of interact club in high school which was a volunteer group, I have volunteered at the Chicago marathon two years in a row, I have volunteered at old folks homes, I taught a course in accounting to inner city kids while I was in college, I volunteered for events with Bear Necessities which focuses on pediatric cancer, and have also done numerous other things. I completed the Chicago Half Marathon last July. I am a very active member of society and love to be a part of my community. I have a lot of energy and love to be around kids.
