Hello! I go by Ko or Mac and use he/him or they/them pronouns. I have been working professionally in child care for 7 years and am seeking a part time nannying position or semi-regular sitting while I study to become a doula. I worked in a before and after school care program for one year, mostly with 1st-3rd graders. I transitioned into a eco-friendly early childhood education center with a strong Reggio Emilia influence, and worked in the same classroom as an educator for three years. The class I worked in was a 2-3 year old classroom, and I also have experience working with infants-pre-k. I have most recently worked with 3-5 year Olds in a cultural center. I am a part of the QTBIPOC community and have experience working with transgender and gender nonconforming children as well as 2slgbtqia+ families. I am very passionate about child development and education, Read more and I particularly love the Reggio approach. I have been to two Reggio conferences, which featured two educators from the region of Reggio Emilia in Italy. I have other certifications such as Positive Behavior Management Strategies, and have attended seminars for creating things like learning stories. My interests include dance and movement, natural puzzles and minimalistic materials. I have experience working with children on the Autism Spectrum.
