Hello! My name is Julia and I am very excited to be able to tell you a little bit about myself and my experience! About Me: When I am not busy doing school work, I love to get outdoors, exercise, and listen to and sing along to music, and I am currently learning how to play guitar. I am very much an animal person and recently my family adopted a little labradoodle, who I am in love with (!), so I am very comfortable working in a home with dogs and cats. My Experience: I have been babysitting since 2013 working for family friends and work colleagues with children ages 3-13 and have also been a camp counselor for the past few summers, and was promoted to a camp teacher. As a teacher I worked with 3rd and 4th graders at a day camp and designed my own classes. I Read more created many camps such as; multiple athletic camp options such as a multi-sport athlete camp, games galore camp, and a non-traditional sport camps; a math is fun camp where students learned about patterns found in nature, worked in teams to create iPad games, and created their own marble race boards; and a creative writing and book binding camp where students read about fables, created their own stories, and made personalized books to write their stories in! In addition to my experience as a babysitter, camp counselor, and teacher, I am a psychology major and have spent a lot of my focus on child development and have participated in labs where I had the opportunity to work with preschool aged children.
