Dear Family, Thank you for your consideration in making the pivotal decision to hire, not only a nanny, but a full-time friend, mentor, and asset to you and yours. I know the process can be a difficult one, and I hope I can offer comfort and confidence in knowing that I am capable, experienced, and available to offer the fullest extent of my effort and energy. Being the youngest of four boys, it is in my blood to be a part of something beyond myself. Always aspiring to learn and grow beyond my years, I experienced early, the joy in teaching others to do the same. It was in this high-energy environment that I cultivated an appreciation for collaboration, patience, and unconditional love. I carry these three tools with me in both my professional and personal relationships. Coming back from a year abroad in Germany in 2009, Read more I was fortunate enough to find work as an everyday, after-school nanny for an Austrian family living in Madison, Wisconsin. We played sports, music, and fabricated fictional worlds on a daily basis. This experience was the catalyst in the story, which has become my life. The next year, I was offered a position as a full-time German speaking nanny for another family in Madison, again being able to offer my interests in language, music and nature connection. It was clear to me already then, that I was best served in being of service to others, and being a mentor for those just beginning to discover. After some summers spent leading kayak expeditions and tours, all the while continuing to tutor privately, I knew that being a full-time asset to the right family could again be the path for me. After searching online in various places around the country, I decided to look in Seattle, near my brother. Right away, I found a fantastic family looking for a full-time nanny, and it just so happened that their kids were preparing to leave for Germany the following summer, and that their Dad was an experienced musician. I applied for the job, and got a call a few hours later. A couple phone calls and interviews later, I was on the plane to Seattle before Thanksgiving. This experience was so amazing, equal parts challenging and rewarding. I know that mentoring children is my calling, and one that I hope to continue to explore and develop forever. I look forward to hearing and meeting you in the near future. Sincerely, Keith
