My name is Nadine and I am a future art educator looking to help positively influence young lives through creativity, compassion, and kindness. I'm 24 years old vaccinated, married, I have two cats, my own car, and I love to make art! If after reading my profile you are interested I am employed through College Nannies and Tutors of Tacoma and I (as well as tons of other amazing Sitters and Nannies in the area) can be booked professionally through them. I am a very laid back caretaker with both educational and occupational experience with elementary education, developmental psychology, and childcare. I love reading with kids as well as board games, coloring, painting, baking and cooking at age appropriate levels. I strive to be respectful of cultural/personal/spiritual/religous beliefs of others as well as sexual and gender identities. It is my goal to treat and raise your children in your household the way you wish regardless of my personal beliefs (drawing the line at physical punishment) I spent the last two years as a museum educator and teaching artist with the Tacoma Art Museum mostly doing before and after school Extended Learning Opportunity programs. While facilitating these programs I became familiar the fundamentals of classroom management and given an opportunity to teach creatively. They had a heavy focus on social emotional learning which teaches kids how to process emotions in a healthy way as well as healthy relationship building boundary setting and communication. I believe this work is important for all humans, not just kids and I will be bringing it into every childcare/education sphere I am in. Along with creative projects, I'm qualified to help with tutor school work with kids in all subjects through 8th grade, math to algebra 2 and English at the college level. I spent my time at TCC taking educational development, math education, and developmental psychology classes in hopes of being a teacher; life, however, has other plans for me. I still want to make a difference with kids, and I've always felt like I was making the biggest difference with those one on one connections
