Hi there! My name is Kye and I am currently a student at the University of Washington studying American Ethnic Studies/Communications. I am looking to help families with caring for their children in any way possible. Though I do not have any experience being a paid nanny/babysitter, I have had years of experience working with youth in numerous settings. Aside from taking care of my 18-month old nephew, I have been involved in youth camps, church summer camps, and church-ran nurseries among other experiences. I find that my attention to detail and ability to remain composed and organized no matter the situation helps reduce stress among parents while still maintaining a sense of respect between myself and the children I care for. I often view my role with great dignity and take pride in the ability to help these kids as a positive support system and model that they can Read more feel comfortable and safe around. In the past, I have been able to lead church youth groups both in summer camp activities and in nursery settings, while also being able to support my neighbors and friends with their children when necessary. Outside of caretaking, I am a disciplined, respectful and considerate individual who is passionate about music, art, film, soccer, and education. I view caretaking not as a job but as a chance to harbor a positive model for kids to surround themselves with while still challenging them to become the best versions of themselves.
